From Montreal, you will take a flight to the village of Kuujjuaq. This is a northern village in Nunavik, located on the Koksoak River, near Ungava Bay. From there, a “Twin Otter” style plane will take you to the Leaf River Lodge camp. It is from this flight that the adventure really begins. You will fly over the beauty of the territory and have the chance to observe willow ptarmigan, migrating caribou herds, as well as contemplate the vast expanses at low altitude.
Once you arrive at the camp, you can finally take the time to breathe the pure northern air. The rest of the trip will be divided between salmon fishing, hiking and wildlife observation.
The main attraction of the area is the mass migration of caribou. We will be able to travel long distances by boat on the Leaf River to explore and discover this territory.
At night, we will always be on the lookout for clear skies, as this is one of the best places in the world to see the famous northern lights.
